A little insight...

into history:

The Institure of Semiconductor Engineering (short IHT) was founded in 1958 under the name "Institut für Höchstfrequenztechnik" and renamed "Institut für Halbleitertechnik" in 1967. The IHT is located in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty 5 - Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the University of Stuttgart. Read more...

into research:

Research at the IHT is divided into four areas of competence

Research is focusing on the transition from today's micro and nanoelectronics to future quantum electronics.

into teaching:

Teaching at the IHT deepens in 3 different directions:

  • Semiconductor Technology
    • How are components manufactured?
  • Semiconductor Engineering
    • How do "classic" components work?
  • Quantum Electronics
    • How do quantum electronic devices work?

as well as in qualification work and internships in all fields of competence of the IHT and in cooperation with research partners.
