German MBE-Workshop 2020

Stuttgart on October 1st and 2nd, 2020

The German MBE-Workshop 2020...

... is organized by the Institute of Semiconductor Engineering (IHT) of the University of Stuttgart and will take place at the Technische Akademie Esslingen on October 1st and 2nd, 2020.

We cordially invite you to take part in the workshop and submit your abstract till the 30.06.2020. You can find more information about submitting your abstract here.

A unique platform...

... is offered by the workshop to discuss and exchange know-how and experience on all topics related to molecular beam epitaxy. Technical aspects as well as specific topics will be addressed. The workshop can look back on a success story lasting over more than twenty years. We will continue the series of workshops which in the past years were held in Würzburg (2019), Freiburg (2018) and Vienna (2017). More than 100 participants are expected to attend, including young academics, researchers as well as students from universities, research institutions and industrial partners.

The topics of the workshop are:

  • MBE Fundamentals
  • Semiconductor heterostructures of all groups (IV-, III-V, II-VI, …)
  • Novel Materials (oxides, topological insulators, magnetic materials, …)
  • Nanostructures (quantum dots, quantum wells, nanowires, ...)
  • Devices and applications
  • MBE in production and industry

Present as an exhibitor...

... your topics, products and methods. The exhibition area will be located nearby the auditorium and will provide a forum for interesting discussions and exchange about new products and methods.

Please register by email (mbe2020@iht.uni-stuttgart.de) by March 31, 2020. We would be happy to provide you with a exhibition stand. If you have special requirements, simply write us your wishes.
